How it works

A glass bottle drifts on a calm sea, catching the low sun. When they tap, a gentle wave carries it in and leaves it on the wet sand. The cork pops, the rolled letter slides out of the neck and unrolls, and your message is written on the paper by hand, line by line.

    Choose the light: golden hour, or the cooler blue hour just after sunset.

    Write their name, your name and a letter of up to 500 characters.

    Pick a handwriting and ink colour, then create the link.

    Send the link however you talk to them: messaging apps, email, a QR code or your phone's share sheet.

Questions

How long can the letter be?

Up to 500 characters, which is a generous handwritten page. The writing speeds up slightly for longer letters so it never drags.

What's the difference between golden hour and blue hour?

Golden hour is warm, late-afternoon light on the water. Blue hour is the calmer, cooler light just after the sun goes down.

Can they reply?

When they've read it, they can send one back in a couple of taps. Their reply opens the same way for you.

Does the bottle work in other languages?

Yes. The site works in ten languages. Latin-script letters are written stroke by stroke; Arabic, Hindi and Japanese appear with a brush-pen reveal.

Is anything stored, and for how long?

The letter is saved under a short private link that isn't listed anywhere, kept for at least two years, and deleted on request (info@novpix.com). No account is needed.
